Hi there, my name is Greg. 
 
If you followed the elections last year, you might recall me as the candidate for Digby Deputy President that ran around in an egg costume – Good times! From that election, I learnt a lot about myself, my college and most importantly, the people that proudly represent Digby Stuart College.
 
This year, I am running to become your College President – with no gimmicks, no costumes, but with pure passion and with the drive to improve and lead this College to greatness.
 
We’re so lucky as a university to have a unique campus experience with our different colleges and college pride is something that I, as many of you do, hold close to my heart.
 
Here are some of the things that I will accomplish as your College President: 

• Communication is key to being a proactive and successful college. Criticism or complement, talking to each other can help us to create a better living and learning environment. That’s why I will put into place a suggestion box in Digby Square and a Digby Stuart suggestions mobile number for you to contact so that myself, the prospective Deputy President and RSU President can liaise and work to improve student life
• With the help with the Digby Deputy President, I will make sure there are a variety of events – drinking and non-drinking, daytime and nights out. We have such a diverse college community, we must make sure everyone feels part of the pride. • I will work with the existing communications channels here at the university to make sure Digby is seen and heard, loud and proud, across all of campus.
• I will work in close proximity with the Off-campus Officer to increase the effort to welcome and include off-campus students and increase the engagement with Study Abroad students – We can achieve this with an array of events and better advertisement of social spaces, such as The Base.
• When deadlines are hitting hard, campus can start to feel like it is weighing you down. Associating with Growhampton and our Environmental Officer, I will make plans to beautify our college campus.
• I will make certain that the response time from security stays at its best. Roehampton is our home during term-time and nothing should compromise our feeling of safety.

Most of all, what I can promise you is that my presidency will be your presidency. I pride myself on my approachable nature and I can promise that you, the pride of Digby, will play a crucial and active role in my Presidency.
