Froebelians! My name is Nicolò Salvatore Sodaro, Nic for short and I am a 2^nd year Student Studying Marketing and a Flat Rep for Froebel in 2018/2019.  I’m an easy-going guy who always has other people’s best interests in mind. Roehampton University has given me opportunity after opportunity to grow as an individual and be the person that I am today; In addition, Froebel, has been the college to build me, take care of me and to make me who I am and most importantly, bless me with the most amazing friends who I can now call family. I, as an individual, know of being an on and off-campus student. Which, leads me to wanting to ensure to make every student on Froebel feel a part of this college.

I for one want to give back to Froebel in the following ways:

1. Initiate to Sport Roehampton to create a female football team known as the ‘Zeebrets’, to compete again the other college girl teams.
2. Make it more visible to off-campus students about Froebel events including Be at One Nights, Froebel formal dinners and Grand, Fez and Bop nights and create events for Off-campus students to mix with on campus students.
3. I want to help make freshers experiences on Froebel one of a kind. The 1st year at University is the best socially and most flexible. This will be expanded on if given the Deputy position and taken to the H.O.C to help organise these events.
4. Hold Froebel monthly competitions which will allow all on-campus students to compete with other flats to win prizes. Competitions will involve an assault course against other flats (and more) and individual prizes for a Best Act On Campus (which will be expanded on if given the position).
5. A focus on Froebel International students, to make them more involved by arranging outings across London and countries in Europe during reading weeks and festive seasons.
6. Expanding the Social Media pages, I will create an unofficial Froebel Snapchat run by myself and other Froebel students which will include monthly messages and updates.
7. Student talks for any suggestions on improving Froebel, this will then be passed on to Accommodation and the H.O.C.
8. Arrange Froebel events across the academic year to raise money for multiple charities and mental health awareness.
9. Speak to Accommodation about Vending Machines and Washing Machines (Card/contactless payments) to have easier access to drinks/snacks and easier transactions with their washes.

Zebra’s, if successful, I want to be that deputy to help you to continue to enjoy your time at University by making it a better environment and an enjoyable atmosphere for each student on Froebel. I would love to represent you all at the highest level and let your voices be heard. So, Froebel, With an F and an R and an O,E,B and an E and an L…. GO ZEEBRAS!
