Academic Advice Team

Our team of Academic Achievement Advisers and Librarians (part of the Library Services team) can help you to get the most out of your studies.

We have a wide range of online resources and interactive tutorials covering just about everything to do with academic and library skills on our Learning Skills Hub Moodle Site and our Library Website.

These include:

  • Essay planning and writing

  • Referencing

  • Dissertation

  • Report writing

  • Time management

  • Reading and thinking critically

  • Note-taking

  • Exam revision

  • Subject resource guides

  • RefWorks

  • SPSS and use of statistics

This means you can access information and learning activities whenever you need them, anytime, anywhere.

How else can the team provide support?

The Team also provides practical advice through our workshops and other academic skills events. You can view upcoming events and book your place on our online calendar. We also offer drop-in sessions every day during the week in the Library Cafe.

We can provide you with essential resources to enhance your academic journey, whatever level you are at with your studies.
