General Meeting adjourned with new date confirmed as 27 May

The General Meeting scheduled for 19 May was adjourned after quorum was not reached. The meeting will now take place on Wednesday 27 May at 17:00 in Montefiore Hall and the proxy form has been reopened.

The General Meeting called to consider a special resolution to adopt new Articles of Association for Roehampton Students' Union was adjourned on Tuesday 19 May 2026 after the required quorum of 117 members was not reached within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time.

Under the Union's Articles of Association, the meeting has been adjourned to:

Wednesday 27 May 2026, 17:00, Montefiore Hall, University of Roehampton

The business of the meeting remains unchanged. Members will vote on a special resolution to adopt new Articles of Association, the Union's governing document. The resolution requires 75% of votes cast to pass.

Proxy voting

The proxy form has been reopened ahead of the adjourned meeting. If you have already submitted a proxy appointment, it carries over automatically and you do not need to resubmit unless you wish to change your instructions or appoint a different proxy.

If you have not yet s ubmitted a proxy and are unable to attend on 27 May, you can appoint someone else, including the Chair of the Meeting, to vote on your behalf. The deadline for new proxy submissions is Friday 22 May 2026 at 17:00.

Please note that if you attend the meeting in person and vote, this will automatically override any proxy appointment you have made.
