LGBTQ+ Society

Embrace Yourself

Roehampton’s LGBTQ+ Society exists to provide a safe and supportive network in which LGBTQ+ Students are encouraged to embrace their identity. The society is open to all students, LGBTQ+ or otherwise, to celebrate and embrace their differences and fully enjoy all that Roehampton university has to offer them over the coming year. Throughout the year we will be organising numerous events (both informal and formal) to strengthen the ties within the Roehampton LGBTQ+ community which include celebrating members creative endeavours, monthly club nights (the destination of which is decided through a collective vote), a LGBTQ+ quiz team as well as general socials every month.

If you’re questioning your sexual or gender identity and feel you want to talk to someone, we offer informal chats with the current committee - arranged through email or social media – in which we’ll listen and provide as much help as possible based on our own experiences. If you’ve got a LGBTQ-related issue, you’re also welcome to contact the committee who will make every effort to help you resolve it. Although there is no membership fee for the society, we kindly ask you donate when possible as it allows us to achieve and arrange more events for your benefit.

For general enquiries, all committee members are reachable via email (lgbtq.society@roehampton.ac.uk).
