RSU DONATION DRIVE

Now that the academic year is ending for many students at Roehampton, many of you will be moving out for the summer. If you have items on the list below that meet the requirements, then why not drop them off at the donation drive to help a fellow student?

Every year when Roehampton students leave, hundreds of household items are thrown away and end up in landfill!

This year...we are looking to change that, and we need your help!

Our donation drive aims to make better use of common household items that are usually thrown away by students when they move out of university accommodation. This will be done in the two following ways:

  1. Saving the items for new and returning students in September

A car boot sale-esque sale will take place in September when students return to campus where any products collected at the donation drive will be sold for a fraction of the original price, this means it will not cost you an arm and a leg for all the essentials you need. All proceeds will go directly back into the student experience.

  1. Placing the items in the RSU Community Pantry

Any products from the donation drive or that are left after the sale in September will be added to the community pantry where the items will be free to all students, but a limit will be in place as to how many of an item one can take to ensure the fairness for all students.
