On Wednesday 10th October, the RSU collaborated with the UR Wellbeing Team, Chaplaincy, and Academic Achievement Team to celebrate World Mental Health Day!
We held a stall in the Library Foyer with FREE tea, coffee and hot chocolate (and we all love a freebie right!?) Our VP Community and Welfare George, alongside Mental Health Officer Beth and Disabilities Officer Belinda, were there for anyone to have a chat with. There were opportunities to sign up for Mental Health Student Change Committee and Disabilities Student Change Committee to support their work this year. We had whiteboards that people could write down experiences, thoughts, or even draw on and envelopes for anyone to collect with an inspirational and motivational message inside. The Wellbeing Team, RSU Advice Coordinator Matt Hurst, Safer Roehampton Intern Isobel, Academic Achievement Team, and Chaplaincy Team were all available during the day to talk about their various campaigns, chat or even take part in some activities.
Either way, it was a safe and approachable environment, and if any you attended at any point during the day, we hope you enjoyed yourself and that you got something out of it!
