Summer Ball is jam-packed with sights, sounds, and tastes to everyone’s liking. With so much going on, you’re bound to have a great time no matter what you end up doing, but here are some pointers to get you started.

Silent Social

Everyone’s favourite, Silent Social, is back! Providing a battleground for two DJs, this tent is never silent - you can hear the singing (screaming) of the crowds from far far away. Don a pair of the light-up headphones and choose your channel, before dancing like no-one’s watching and singing like no-one’s listening until 4:30am.

Of course, you don’t want to miss out on hearing John Newman, Wretch 32 or Rak-Su!! Each year the line-up gets better and better, and this year is no exception, so make sure to catch each act’s set. Read all about them at www.rsusummerball.com.

As well as the music, another highlight of Summer Ball is always the food. This year, cuisines include South Indian, Lebanese, French and American, with something for everyone’s tastes. See how many meals you can justify in one day!

As well as a mouth-watering array of food on offer, the drinks department isn’t too shabby either, so try to sample as wide a selection as possible. From cocktails and Pimms to a classic Snakey B, there is plenty of choice. Make sure to pace yourself and drink responsibly, and make use of the free water station.

Walk around

Get your bearings, see the sights and try to find the stilt walkers and fire breathers! Having a wander around the site is a must, and will allow you to really get a sense of the magnitude of the event.

Set up behind Grove House, the funfair is a great pit-stop to check out between acts. Including dodgems and waltzers throughout both halves, and zorb racing and football darts during the daytime section, this is the place to let your hair down and get your adrenaline pumping.

Survivors’ Photo

Be part of the most memorable photo of the year by staying out at Summer Ball until 4.45am, and then gather outside Grove House for the Survivors’ Photo. Be warned - it’s only for the brave!

Watch the firework display over the lake, kick-starting the night-time portion of Summer Ball. Capture the moment on your phone and tag us when you post it - we may repost the best photos and videos.

Photo Booth

Head to Monte Diner and get a fun photo in the photo booth as a lasting memento of Summer Ball 2019. Again, don’t forget to upload the results on social media and tag us - we want to see how much fun you’re having!

Floating around the site will be a caricaturist, who will be ready and waiting to draw you - for free! Getting a caricature done will immortalise your Summer Ball look, and will be a lasting reminder of the fun you had at Roehampton’s biggest event of the year.
