Meet Outside The Library

Overview

Join us as we take a Wild Walk down the River Lea. This is going to be a great day out!

We'll start by meeting outside the library at 10.00 and take the train to Tottenham Hale. There we will wander through Walthamstow Wetlands and check what Winter migratory birds they have on the reservoirs. We will then follow the course of the river through Hackney Marshes observing the changes in habitat.

The walk will end at the Olympic Park in Stratford, we will also find out more about the regeneration of the area and how it has benefitted nature. Before heading home we will take a trip up the ArcelorMittal Orbit which offers unrivalled views of London - there's even a chance to slide down the tallest slide in London at 115m. This is an optional activity at the end of the walk and prices for that are as follows - £6.50 to go up and £11.75 to slide down.

Transport home will be via Stratford Station.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
