Event Description

Thursday 02 March 2023

11am - 1pm

Meet outside the Student Union Reception, Froebel Campus

Growing and caring for plants can lower anxiety, reduce stress levels, boost mood, and increase productivity. Looking after a plant can also be a good reminder to look after yourself – stay hydrated, get fresh air and sunlight, give yourself the right conditions to thrive – and don’t forget that plants show you that you can recover after you wilt!

With this in mind, come along and help care for our gardens for University Mental Health Day. Be part of a hands-on session where we will sow seeds in the polytunnel and do some gentle weeding of the veg beds in preparation for Spring.

The meeting point is outside the Students' Union Reception (Froebel Campus) at 11.00 am. Free hot drinks card for volunteers. No experience necessary, all welcome!
