Spring Equinox

To celebrate International Day of Forests and Spring Equinox we’ll dedicate the session to caring for the Forest Garden and woodland space next to the allotments and dance studios on Froebel.

There will be a range of activities including sowing wildflowers, creating hedgehog friendly spaces (making piles of leaves and branches), mulching the soft fruit growing area, planting herbs and berry bushes, and laying woodchip along the paths.

We’ll enjoy a cosy fire at the end of the session to mark the Spring Equinox, start of the growing season and burst of new growth.

Meet in front of the RSU Reception on Froebel at 2 pm, or find us in the Forest Garden next to the allotments and dance studios if you’re joining later.

All welcome! No experience is necessary!

Free tea / coffee card for volunteers!
