I am currently working on creating a safe space for students who are in mental health crisis during the night. This space would provide students in crisis with a supportive, neutral environment for them to wait in, whilst external assistance (ambulance, psych team etc.) is on its way.
Up and running
The Base is now open on Friday nights during Bop if you are experiencing a mental health crisis and need a safe place to wait for support. Students can get access to this space by contacting security and asking for a college warden to take them there or asking a Bystander at the event.
