Carmen Cecan from Music Society
As President of the Music Society, Carmen has worked incredibly hard to create a welcoming, safe, and fun space for all music lovers. She leads the hugely popular karaoke sessions and introduced the idea of hosting a cabaret night, which was a fantastic success. Her dedication continues to energise and grow the society.
Third Row Dance Society
The committee have shown outstanding commitment this month, fostering a safe, supportive, and creatively inspiring environment for dance students. They’ve invited excellent instructors, continued to offer high-quality sessions, and are now preparing for their upcoming winter showcase, which will highlight all their hard work.
Business Society
This month, the Business Society has seen impressive student engagement, particularly during their recent launch event, which clearly communicated their vision and ambitions. Their strong turnout and enthusiastic membership demonstrate the demand for the space they are creating.
Ukrainian Society
Recently relaunched, the Ukrainian Society has quickly become one of our most vibrant and impactful groups. Their creativity, thoughtful event planning, and commitment to community-building have led to exceptional engagement. Despite being one of the newest societies, they already boast one of the largest memberships, a testament to their hard work.
Hannah Jacobs from Christian Union
Eleanor, president of Christian Union, continues to go above and beyond in her organisation and planning for the society. She is a patient, supportive, and compassionate committee member who is always willing to help others. Her leadership has had a truly positive impact on the group.
Roehampton Players
The Roehampton Players have had an incredibly active November, collaborating with the Film and Music Societies, hosting rehearsed readings, and even taking members to see Hadestown in the West End. Their creativity and enthusiasm shine through everything they do, and we’re excited to see what they take on next.
Law Society
The Law Society has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusion, academic development, and professional growth. This month they hosted a debate night with the Global Politics Society, giving students valuable hands-on experience. They also held a law fair, an immersive murder-mystery legal event, and a legal quiz night, consistently going above and beyond to enrich the student experience.
