We launched our first ever International Food Fair during International Week. Have a look at what happened!
On 18 November, we hosted our first ever Food Fair as part of International Week at the university, and what a success it was!
Monte Hall was buzzing with life as around 150 students came together to celebrate culture, community, and cuisine. The event gave our societies the chance to showcase their heritage through running stalls and serving food from around the world. Attendees enjoyed an incredible variety of dishes from Ukraine, the Balkans, America, and several South Asian countries, there was truly something for everyone.
Thanks to your enthusiasm and support, our societies raised just under £500. A huge thank you to Roehampton Players, Ukrainian Society, Pakistani Society, and Desi Society for all their hard work and wonderful contributions.
The Food Fair was a fantastic way to bring our community together, giving societies the opportunity to share their culture, raise funds, and shine on campus. And what makes it better? Every penny of profit went directly back to them.
We also welcomed a representative from the Study Abroad Team at our Student Opportunities drop-in session on Tuesday, offering advice and answering questions for anyone interested in studying abroad.
We’re incredibly proud to have taken part in International Week, especially given the amazing diversity of our societies and student community. After such a successful debut, we’re already excited to explore ideas for a fair next term.
