Soil in the City
– various opportunities with school children
We provide food education sessions in schools and on campus for school children. If you are training to be a teacher or would like to gain experience working with children, then this is the programme for you.
We teach kids outdoor survival skills; fire lighting, shelter building, field cooking and food growing skills. They love it and this definitely looks great on your CV! Changing the mindsets of our future generations – power to you peeps!
These events happens various times throughout the year, also during half term (reading week).
Interested? Drop us an email and will put your name down on our list of Food Education volunteers.
“So glad that I got to get involved with urban wild! Love it more every time I do it. Getting to teach children outside and experience their curiosity with them is amazing. The conversations and laughs with children/ teenagers definitely lift my spirits.”
