Hello! My name is Kaia Koehler and I am applying for the role of President! I am a (BA) Therapeutic Psychology student and professional dancer teaching regularly at Pineapple Dance Studios and at studios around the world. My extensive training history ranges from tap to jazz to modern techniques, within the four countries I’ve lived in.

I have been a member and teacher for Dance Society throughout the past two years and currently undertake the role of Treasurer. I have truly loved being part of such an exceptional committee and the role has taught me about working closely with others and developed my interpersonal skills with all our lovely members I’ve had the honor to meet. As president, I aim to overlook all society operations as well as provide members daily classes in a range of different styles to find something everyone can enjoy. At the end of term, all classes would have the opportunity to participate in the society showcase, as has been done in previous years. I would like to upkeep socials and workshops, as well as indulge in new and unique collaborations with other societies. For those interested, I would be intrigued to propose a new element of media within the society, where headshots and video shoot opportunities would be available. 

I am a determined and passionate individual and aim to make next year the best year yet! If selected, I promise to put all I have into this role, work with my fellow committee members, and produce events and classes that will benefit and be of interest to all members.
