If elected for the Anthropology Society’s committee, I hope the upcoming academic year can be a chance for our society to grow and improve. I plan on conducting online surveys to encourage feedback from all members. I believe that it is paramount to use student feedback when planning events so that the dates and activities planned represent student wishes. I would like to increase recruitment by appointing members from each year to encourage their classmates to enroll. I also think the society could diversify the social media platforms it is available on and use those platforms to advertise clear future plans. Overall, I think our society can become a safe space for students to explore their interests in anthropology through extracurricular activities. I believe the Anthropology Society can become a popular outlet for people to explore and develop their anthropological and academic skills with their peers.
