Hi I'm Ryan Bickerton and I'm running for Vice President for SSOAP.

Fresh ideas that I'd want to implement on the society:

- DRUNKEN DRAMA - I want to ensure we pull in as many freshers as possible during first term. These can be some of the biggest society events and they tend to be big successes. But why stop at successful when these tend to be one of the best highlights a student has at Roehampton University. So I want to continue promoting this event and it's popularity, ensuring it is to stay for ongoing years. I think drunken drama is the perfect event to enlarge the ssoap community


-Inclusiveness- At university, we know that students like to drink. But we often forget about those who don't. So I would like to integrate more non drinking events for those students who dont feel comfortable drinking. This can be discussed with the committee in the future but for example; a game night. This will help bring those students to our society and will make them feel included.

-More workshopped shows: Sometimes people dont have the time to put on full scale productions so I think that having workshops for students to come in and get their ideas out there would be a great way for a students vision to be expressed. The idea can then be put on a showcase where the works can be shown and this would be for anyone! fresher or even a masters student!

These are just three ideas I have that will bring SSOAP together and create a huge community for anyone to be involved in! If you are an Actor, Director or someone looking to work on tech, The Society will be there and with me supporting whoever is successful with getting the role of president, we will promise that next year will be an amazing year for SSOAP
