Hey, Hello, hows it going?

For anyone who doesn't know me, Im Taryn. I was your treasurer this year and im looking to be your Vice President next year. 

There's one thing i've really noticed in a Network/Group like ours, Everyone is different (captain obvious i know, stay with me though). Not one person that's apart of the Network is the same as another, and that's what makes our community so great. For such a unique group, its only fair what your committee offers you is unique too. 

I want to host a range of events for our Network in the next year:

- Safe space nights: Oppertunities to walk in, put a note in a box  and say anything you want to say. Whether its "I forgot my partner's birthday, before im in trouble, what do i do?" Or "I think Trump would be an amazing Drag Queen". Or ask for advice anonymously about anything that concerns you. Being a group that supports eachother through whatever. 

- Rainbow Bop and Roey Pride: Both alcoholic and non alcoholic events to bring us all together. Sit and have a laugh, watch a movie or discuss random conspiracy theories. This year we used the union after all our meetings to talk and bond, I want to keep this going in atmospheres that are comfortable for everybody. 

- Work with other societies and Universities: Its fun to be our own little community at Roehampton, but it'll be even better to meet other groups like ours. My ultimate aim is for a Joint university Christmas Ball or dinner/social, being able to make friendships throughout London/Campus and fundraise for the charities that support worthy causes

Next year, I want all the changes and events you asked for to be a reality. Your voices should move the Network in the directions you want it to go in. Im standing to bring all of it to the table, and make the Student LGBTQ+ Network everything you guys want to see, and more.
