Hello, my name is Luke Coffey, and I want to represent the international students of our university in my role on the RSU. It will be my job to help international students feel like Roehampton is their home away from home. I am from America and I have met people from all over the world during my time here so far, and I cannot wait to get to meet more. I want to make sure to work specifically with the Vice President of Welfare and Community in order to ensure that international students are made to feel welcome and at ease during their time here at the university. I plan to build a relationship of solid communication with the International Office at Roehampton as well in order to promote the resources that are at hand for international students to make the most of their time here.  

It can be a difficult transition coming to London from other countries; many students come from outside of Europe and overseas. I want to make sure every international student is happy and feels right at home while here. I really believe that we can learn so much from our cultural differences, and once we get past those differences, we can learn our similarities, and work towards our common goal to succeed.
