Hey, my name is Madhuri (or Maddy as most of you know me)– a final year student studying Early Childhood Studies, and I am running to be your Mount Clare Site Rep for the upcoming year. I am a very outgoing and compassionate person with an amazing sense of humour! I am extremely driven and always strive to achieve to the best of my abilities! After commuting to and from the university for three years I understand the value of having a place close to the university to come home to. Mount Clare is one of Froebel’s hidden treasures (and one that needs the right person to take care of it)!

With all that Mount Clare has to offer, it needs to be represented for all its glory. Mount Clare offers continuing students a place of haven away from the bustle of main campus yet still only walking distance from Froebel and the rest of the university. Though Mount Clare is part of Froebel not many people have heard of it let alone know of its whereabouts, I will do my upmost best to put Mount Clare on the map and make it known!

If elected I aim to achieve the following:

·        Ensure that the safety of students and staff residing at Mount Clare is paramount by teaming up with non-academic departments i.e. security, welfare and accommodation.

·        Effectively communicate the views of the residents with the university and the RSU.

·        Gain further representation for students at Mount Clare in college events as well as general university events too working in conjunction with the RSU.

·        Use the communal spaces more effectively to encourage everyone to form a sense of community.

·        Verify that tasks such as maintenance are actually completed in a timely fashion.

·        Ensure the WIFI works more efficiently.
