Lambing season is almost upon us! No better way to celebrate than going to vote for your very own Lamb at Roehampton!

Consider re-electing me as your Off-Campus Officer!

My name is Nathan Lamb; I’m a second year Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies student. I work for the RSU events team, so you have probably seen me working at many events throughout this year. I really enjoy being part of the RSU team and enjoy seeing all of you guys at the events!

I stood in the most recent top up elections last year, I believe what I learnt in this short period of time has allowed me to mature into the role of off campus officer.

Throughout this experience I have gained confidence and an approachable nature which will make me the ideal candidate.

My main Ideas/ Goals:

• If elected I promise to represent your views as students to the best of my ability; through attendance to all RSU meetings, active engagements in workshops that affect the student body and by continuously listening to your ideas and concerns in regard to the ways in which the off-campus network could be improved.

• I want to continue to look into the possibility of security being able to access off campus students living in the Roehampton area. I feel that off campus students have the same opportunities and needs that the estate department offer for on campus students.

• How many times this year have you forgotten your student ID? I want to look into the idea of getting the university to lobby Apple and Android to give Roehampton students the option to have their student IDs on their phone. This would really help with the universities green project.

• This is something I didn’t get a proper chance to complete in my current term so it’s something I want to take forward and further improve the communication between the RSU, University and Off Campus students to further improve knowledge of events. I would achieve this by setting up an email which will send weekly updates on upcoming events, this will allow students to plan their weeks better and further involve off campus students in on campus activities. This would be a opt in service which would be sent on a Saturday. I am open for any further advice on what to include.

• Not all students drink or enjoy nights out as well as inaccessibility for people living further away. I want to further build on events by holding 3 events a year. One at the start of the year, one at Christmas and one as a celebratory event at the end of the year.

• Being a part of the Off-Campus network has helped me grow and develop enormously as an individual. I genuinely care about this college and as such care for all those who are a part of it. I promise to be approachable, listen to your concerns and work with you the students to help give others what I myself have gained from being a part of the Off-Campus network.

Thank you for taking the time to read my manifesto, I hope I can count on your vote!
