Within Ourselves
The greatest change has to always start from inside. I seek to assist this by:
- Be a listening ear for all students, whatever their background – through an online talkline: offering support, encouragement, and referral to helpful people
- Promoting societies which are less known, so those who identify with these groups never feel like an outcast
- Making Mitigated Circumstances easier to work with, when going through a hard time – no one wants to be more stressed out when completing a form than they are with the original assignment.
- Social Media Network to share inspiring stories and creative work anonymously
Within University
University is one of the greatest times of lives, often shaping who we become. I seek assist in making this a valuable time by:
- Listening to what you need
- Encouraging dry (non-drinking events), consisting of art nights, live music evenings, movie nights: which can be supplemented with mocktails and good food.
- Increase spaces for students to relax, take time out from the stresses of university
- With an increasing number of students from varying backgrounds – allow the demographics to be reflected in leadership and studies (core readings for instance)
Community
Once we leave University, so let's start something great to continue in our lives after studies:
- Listen to you what you are passionate about and work with charities outside of the university- doing monthly outreach programs
- Organize rallies for tuition fees
- Help those making a change for crime in London (as this affects so many)
