Hello! I’m Fabian Jasonson, and I’d like to be your next Froebel Deputy President! Read below to find out a little about me, what I want to achieve and how I will achieve it.

General info:

I am friendly, kind and easily approachable person about any issue. As Deputy my role is to support the students of Froebel with whatever might be their concern, not purely my own goals.

I work on information and statistics over hunches and personal experience, meaning my work will be based on evidence gained from students, not just my own opinion. This allows me to more accurately represent my college.

I have experience in leadership roles as a social sec and in my profession as a teacher. I am already skilled in organising large events from charity fundraisers, parties with 150 guests to sports socials and Sports Tour.

I’m robust and calm in all situations, helping me resolve issues professionally and properly, not using knee-jerk reactions. I’m open to change and grounded in my flaws, not afraid to admit when I am wrong or when something hasn’t gone to plan.

I’ve got good connections throughout every college in Roehampton, allowing for easier event organisation and a wider range of opportunities to collaborate with other communities.

What I would like to achieve and how I will achieve it.

You’ve spent long enough reading about me, so here is a simple bullet point list of what I want to achieve next year should I be elected:

1- Improved Awareness for mental health within the college

Utilising my ties with the bar, I will organise fundraisers for mental health charities. In tandem with this I will work closely with our VP of Community and Welfare, alongside our Student Welfare Officer in order to bring mental health to the forefront of Roehampton’s agenda.

2- Increased Accessibility to the Froebel Officer Team

I will be available on social media, email and in conversation, passing on relevant notes to those who are involved and chasing up on answers when needed.

3- Platform for students to share their ideas to improve
Froebel, no matter how big or small

Creating an easy to use google form for anyone to complete allows me to database, collect and view any suggestion made and put them forward to the rest of the Froebel team.

4- New venues for nights out with the College

Learning our local  area during summer, I will contact new venues and visit them personally to

assess their suitability for Froebel events.

5- More event options for non-drinkers

With London at our doorstep, we have an endless supply and fun, inexpensive event possibilities that don’t require students to drink.

6- Versatility to deal with unforeseen issues

We cannot know what the next year will bring us and it would be foolish to think there will not be bumps along the way. With me as your Deputy, I can assure an approach that deals with any unforeseen circumstances properly.
