I am applying for the position of being the Tamil society president because, I want to embrace who I am as a Tamil girl and I want my fellow Thamizhan’s to embrace who they are as Tamils. People who aren’t Tamil are also very much welcome to join the society and be educated on Tamil culture and join in on the fun events that will be planned. I also care about the Tamil culture very much and I feel as if I can help make sure it is passed down to future generations through the Tamil society members. I can ensure there is educational and fun things to do and I say this with confidence as I have experience of organising events in the past for example parties, outings etc, I am also positive I can lead the group with the committee’s help we as a team will be very creative. Me as an individual, I would say I am very creative. I will  make sure people enjoy themselves at every event, we as a committee will do our best to make their time in our society rememberable. Moreover, the main reason I would like to become President is because it would be a great way for me to be responsible and help others be the best version of themselves.
