Hello hello hello!
I'm Caoimhe (kee-vee for all who can't pronounce it!)
 
I have decided to run for president after being part of the society for the past year. 
I really enjoyed being a member of the society and meeting so many new people but I want to build on what is already great and make it even better! 
 
I want to bring with me a fresh new style of leadership and a new feel and experience to the Student LGBTQ Network.
The Student LGBTQ Network is somewhere where individuals will feel welcomed and safe - this will always be the main focus. 
 
 The ideas that I would like to implement:
  • Increase the visibility of the society across campus - we are here to be seen! 
  • Increase the activities both on campus and off-campus - London has so many LGBTQ spaces that as a society  it would be great to explore together
  • Create engaging and enjoyable society weekly meetings
  • Network with other LGBTQ societies across the Universities in London 
  • Celebrate together - throughout the year there are various dates that are dedicated to celebrate the LGBTQ community. 
For many individuals, the Student LGBTQ Network will be their first experience of a space solely dedicated to the LGBTQ community therefore my team and I will do everything we can to make every individual feel like they have found somewhere to belong. 
 
I cannot do this alone so I really look forward to working with the other members of my team for the next year!
 
 
No matter the outcome of this election, just remember that you are YOU! Love yourself for who you are...If you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gon' love somebody else?
