After being a part of Players for only 1 year, it is already abundantly clear the importance of peformance and the positive effect it has on not only an audience but the performers also and I plan to help promote and develop the positive impact Players create!

If I am elected as Events officer, I will make it one of my sole priorities to produce more events throughout the year, such as Pissed Parodies and introduce new events such as a showcase each term where people can perform any pieces they would like to show. 

As well as this, I would be focusing on creating fundraising events in which we could use profits to help pay for costuming or props for shows or wherever it is necessary. One idea for an event would be a karaoke type event where only songs from a musical or Broadway shows are sung. Throughout the year, I would aim to help organise thetare trips that are either free of charge as a result of all the fundraising or at a very discounted price.

There are many other ideas that could be put into place if I am elected as the Events officer and I cannot wait to help action them and work alongside an amazing comitee to make Roehampton Players the best they have ever been!
