Hi! My name is Kaia Koehler and I am applying for the role of Managing Director. Throughout the past term I have been a company associate and have truly enjoyed my experience dancing alongside company members and the directors. I have become familiar with the process and the way rehearsals have been conducted. I value reliability and dedication, which I believe I have proven by maintaining consistent attendance, and would continue ensuring this throughout third year. I am a committed individual and have experience in working in group committees as I was the treasurer for Dance Society this past year and believe it has provided me with the foundation and transferable organisational skills to successfully fulfill the Managing Director role. As treasurer, I've learned to overlook finances and learned how to upkeep a successful society, so I would be able to use these managing skills towards my role. 

I pursue dance professionally, teaching at Pineapple Dance Studios and at other studios around the world, which has provided me a broad and unique perspective. I have also been a part of a company in my home city of San Francisco, California, as well as Tap Attack based in Swindon, England, so the welcoming environment is something I know I enjoy and thrive in. Lastly, I have always been interested in being part of a committee that directs a dance company, as one of my dreams when I graduate from Roehampton is to start my own tap company. This experience would allow me to see how to actually make my dreams become a reality, hence why I would find this role highly useful. I am ready to put everything I have into this role and provide the society with all I can offer. If selected, I promise to bring a different approach to Third Row as I have trained in many different styles and believe this would be a benefit to the company. I would be able to bring a new choreographic approach that would help assist my other committee members in making the company meet its next fullest potential.
