Understanding the SU Elections

What are Elections?

In our Student Leadership Elections, students can run by nominating themselves for elected student leader positions within the Students' Union. Students will also be able to vote for these candidates when voting opens. This includes our student group committee members and our paid full-time Sabbatical Officer roles. Elections are your opportunity to have your voice heard and choose who you want to lead the Students’ Union and represent your interests to the University and wider community.

These elections decide who takes on key roles across RSU, from Full-time Officers who represent you at the highest levels of the University, to Committee Members who lead and grow our vibrant student communities. This is your opportunity to tell the Students’ Union what matters to you most, what our primary focuses should be, and who you want to lead that change.

Referendum on our Articles of Association

We’ve updated the SU’s Articles of Association. That’s the document that defines what we do and how we’re run. In this referendum, every student has the chance to vote for or against the proposed changes to how Roehampton Students’ Union is governed.
