Membership Services Manager (Deputy Chief Executive)

£36,430 – £41,655 (Including London Weighting)

The post-holder will take the lead to develop, administer and coordinate the student engagement elements of the Union’s non commercial areas. This will include specific focus on the delivery of student activities and student voice strategies to drive student engagement.  The post holder will be expected to manage and control all areas of student activities, student voice and representation, advice and Growhampton.  The post holder will be line manager to the assigned staff and will manage the operations of the Union’s student activities. They will also be responsible for a significant level of support to the sabbatical team in developing strong strategies with our stakeholders. 

The post-holder will develop systems that ensure quality, high levels of effective operation and student satisfaction.  The post holder will endeavour to continually increase the number of students participating in our activities and will foster a culture of participation and personal development. 

Furthermore, the post holder will be required to support the Chief Executive on executive matters and deputise in their absence.

Student Voice Coordinator

£23,518 – £25,315 (Including London Weighting)

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new Student Voice team here at Roehampton. As Student Voice Coordinator you will be a key member of the new Student Voice team and you will be at the centre of the students’ union’s core role of representing Roehampton students. You should have a commitment and knowledge of membership organisations and be able to demonstrate impartiality in a student led, democratic environment.

Your role will be to support the delivery of representation by students across the university. You will support and deliver the training of programme reps and lead on the support for part time officers. You will support key aspects of the students’ union’s democratic processes and you will work to maximise the involvement and commitment of our membership in students’ union democracy.

In addition to this you will play an active role in the development of better academic representation of our membership ensuring the teaching and learning experience is of a high level and matching the expectations of our students. The academic zone of the union strives to be pro-active in its work offering timely advice for students and ensuring our student voice is heard and recognised.
