2. The Promotion
2.1 The promotion is an instant win scratchcard prize promotion (“Promotion”).
2.2 The Promotion opens at 11:00 GMT on Friday 13 March 2026 and closes at 11:00 GMT on Thursday 19 March 2026 (“Promotional Period”).
2.3 Scratchcards will only be available at official SU Polling Booths during the Promotional Period and while stocks last.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The Promotion is open to currently enrolled students of the University of Roehampton who have successfully cast a vote in the Roehampton SU Student Leadership Elections 2026 during the Promotional Period.
3.2 To be eligible, participants must:
- Cast a valid vote in the 2026 Student Leadership Elections; and
- Collect a scratchcard from an authorised SU staff member at a polling booth.
3.4 The Promotion is not open to:
- Roehampton Students’ Union or University staff;
- Any individual found attempting to obtain multiple scratchcards.
3.5 The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility.
4. How to Enter
4.1 To participate:
- Vote in the Roehampton SU Student Leadership Elections 2026;
- Obtain one scratchcard from SU staff at a polling booth;
- Scratch the panel to reveal whether you have won a prize.
4.2 No purchase is necessary. Entry is free upon voting.
4.3 Scratchcards are available strictly while stocks last.
5. Prizes
The following prizes are available:
- 200 × 9cm potted plants
- 50 × Hive hot drink vouchers
- 10 × £10 ASDA vouchers
- 5 × Roehampton hoodies
- 1 × Experience Day for two (2), up to a maximum value of £100, redeemable via Virgin Experience Days
Some scratchcards will display “Thank you for voting in Student Leadership Elections”. Thus will not count as a winning prize.
5.1 Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternative will be offered.
5.2 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.
6. Prize Fulfilment
6.1 Potted plants, Hive hot drink vouchers and ASDA vouchers will be issued immediately upon presentation of a winning scratchcard at a polling booth.
6.2 Winners of Roehampton hoodies must provide their preferred size and colour at the time of winning. Hoodies will be ordered by the Promoter and issued once available.
6.3 The Experience Day prize will be fulfilled via email. The winner must provide a valid email address at the time of winning.
6.4 If a winner refuses a prize or fails to provide necessary details at the time of winning, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize.
7. Data Protection
7.1 For hoodie and Experience Day winners only, the Promoter will collect necessary contact details solely for the purpose of prize fulfilment.
7.2 Personal data will:
- Be used only for administering this Promotion;
- Not be added to any marketing mailing list;
- Not be shared with third parties except where required for prize fulfilment;
- Be securely destroyed following completion of prize fulfilment.
7.3 Processing of personal data will be carried out in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
8. Publicity
8.1 The Promoter may photograph or film prize winners for promotional purposes.
8.2 By participating, winners agree that images captured at the time of prize collection may be shared or reshared on the Promoter’s social media channels and marketing materials.
8.3 Winners who do not wish to appear in promotional content should inform SU staff at the time of prize collection.
8.4 The Promoter will not publish winners’ names.
9. Fraud and Abuse
9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:
- Attempts to obtain more than one scratchcard;
- Tampers with the scratchcard process;
- Acts fraudulently or dishonestly;
- Fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
9.2 Scratchcards that are damaged, altered, illegible or duplicated will be void.
10. Liability
10.1 The Promoter does not accept responsibility for:
- Lost, stolen or damaged scratchcards;
- Technical or operational issues affecting polling booths;
- Any inability to participate due to circumstances beyond its control.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend or withdraw the Promotion where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
12. General
12.1 The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final.
12.2 These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
