Elections! Always an exciting moment!
The Students’ Union is a body of students, run by students, for… you guessed it... the students! What does this mean? Why… it means democracy! We are run by the Students’ Union Council, made up of 23 representatives elected by you! Our SUC is made up of 20 part-time officer positions and three full time officer positions.
Our elections happen in March and are great fun, everyone gets in the spirit, campaigns and turns out to vote for the different positions. This autumn we have two vacant positions and will be filling them in our top-up elections. The two part-time positions are:
-Spring Mews Liaison Officer
Being a part-time officer is great fun, you get to make a difference, shape RSU policy, represent hundreds, if not thousands, of students and make a real difference. I held a part-time elected role for two years and that was my favourite part of being a Roehampton student!
If you’re interested, come up to our reception and pick up a nominations pack. Nominations for the two positions open Monday 26th September - Friday 7th October. Voting will be online Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th October.
