To help facilitate this, the RSU are providing you with a week packed with professional workshops and talks aimed at inspiring you to be a curious, ambitious and creative leader.

What is Leadership?

We begin the week by exploring the ambiguity of leadership and what it means to you.  

Come and listen to Sophie Bryan, Managing Director, Culture Coach and Organisational Development Expert explain what leadership means to her.

SESSION 1 - Communicate Effectively

In a message heavy, social interaction light society we may be losing the capability to communicate effectively. We explore the world of communication and how to excel at it.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. We all excel in a role. Want to find yours? Join us to discover your personality type and learn more about yourself with a professional Belbin test.

SESSION 3 - What is Confidence? How to find and keep it.

Confidence. You either have it or don’t right? Not exactly. Developing your confidence is key to your self-esteem, personal potential and well-being. In this workshop Sophie Bryan, Managing Director, Culture Coach and Organisational Development Expert, will discuss ways to build your confidence.

Kiko Matthews – Leading Through Set Backs

Froebel, Grove House - GH010

After facing a life threatening disease, Kiko set herself the challenge of becoming the fastest woman to solo row the Atlantic East to West. She spent 50 days at sea, beat the previous record by almost a week and now the World Record is hers. Her goal was to empower and inspire women to push their boundaries while supporting King's College Hospital Charity, who saved her life in 2009 and again in August 2017.

 

“I'll face anything from mirror calm to 40ft waves will be encountered, not to mention, dark nights rowing, flying fish in the face, sleep deprivation, muscle pains, blisters, sea-sickness, loneliness and potential hallucinations."

The Recharge Zone is open on Froebel Lawn from Monday – Thursday from 1:00pm – 5:00pm selling sandwiches, wraps, crisps and drinks for a quick boost in between each session!

Those who attend at least one session will receive a Recharge Voucher that you can use to get yourself a free meal deal! This includes a sandwich, crisp and drink!
