Hi, my name is Edward Cousins and I am running to be your NUS delegate. I am currently a postgraduate student studying Human Rights and International Relations. I am also the current Vice-President of UBM.
Over my years at Roehampton, I have been a Programme Rep for two years, been involved in a number of College events, hosted my own events with my society and I have supported different campaigns such as our ROEconsent campaign.
What we want:
- Our ethics and values as a students’ union to be well represented on a national level. Roehampton Students’ Union values its students and community. I will ensure our values are represented nationally.
- Support of equality and diversity. We have a very diverse student base, everyone deserves to be treated equally and fairly. I will continue to fight for our equality.
- Support of mental health awareness. One in four students in the UK suffer from mental health Problems. I aim to continue fighting for more awareness and support.
- To create a safe environment for students. No student should have to experience hate crime or sexual assault. I will fight to create a safer environment for students.
I want to keep the line of communication between students and the NUS clear and transparent so I will report back to students on what is being done about their concerns and what I have done as your NUS delegate.
