I believe I’m the best person to lead Digby College because I’m already deeply involved in student life and have a good understanding of how things operate on campus. As the secretary of the Business Society and the cricket captain, I’m accustomed to organising people, resolving issues and ensuring that things are actually carried out, rather than just discussing them.
I’ve been involved in organising and promoting events around campus, so I know how to book rooms, get events approved and ensure that students actually attend. Also, being in my second year studying Computer Science has honed my problem-solving skills and organisational abilities, even when things get hectic.
Most importantly, I’m approachable—people already reach out to me with ideas and concerns, and I feel comfortable advocating for others. I aim to leverage that to create a more connected, active and enjoyable environment for everyone at Digby College.
I’ve got hands-on experience leading as Business Society secretary (organising drop-ins and events), cricket team captain (running tournaments and keeping the squad motivated), and pitching in on tons of on-campus events – from planning to promotion. That’s taught me the ropes of university admin, booking spaces like The Reef or Davies Hall, hyping stuff on Instagram, and turning student ideas into reality.
I’m all about action over talk – if there’s a problem, I’ll debug it like code and get it fixed, whether it’s event glitches or student vibes needing a boost.
