To start, my name is Taro Chamberlain, & I'm studying Cyber Security BSc, & I'm in my second year. I also live on Froebel campus during term time. I'm also one of the student reps for my course. I like to cycle in my free time, as well as walking in Richmond park when it's sunny (very soon!).
I'm standing in this election because I really want to help make small, but meaningful & impactful changes to your life at university. If I can help with that by passing along little bits of feedback from lots of people & helping to be their voice, that's enough for me, & I'd be incredibly fulfilled being your deputy president.
I enjoy noting down the work that I do, so it wouldn't be a difficult task for me to make regular-ish blog posts about the work I'd do for you as deputy president.
If you'd like to vote for me as Froebel deputy president, voting opens 11am Friday the 13th of March.
I'd love for it to be me, but please do vote, no matter who it's for.
You have a vote, use it!
I've been the student representative for my cohort of Cyber Security since the beginning of this year, & being your college deputy president wouldn't be very different in a day to day sense. I'd be collecting feedback from students (you!!), collating it in a manner that's clear & quickly explainable in a meeting, then passing along that feedback & informing you when things are improved.
As your deputy president, I'd be working with the future Froebel president directly to prepare for our meetings & what we'd be pushing for the most, as well as me reporting to them about what students are giving the most feedback about. Lots of back & forth communication, which I am quite enjoying so far.
If you had a piece of feedback, I'd be happy to take it in person & write it down, or if it's emailed or messaged to me. I aim to be as approachable as possible in this role, so I want to be as contactable as I can be!
I love to be active in what I'm doing at any one time. If that's working, cycling, walking, or doing literally nothing. As long as its intentional.
Thank you for reading my manifesto, I hope you have a lovely day :)
Please vote, I don't mind who!
