Candidate Statement
I believe I am the strongest candidate for College President because I combine leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to representation.

First, I am an effective communicator, I listen carefully, engage respectfully, and ensure that different perspectives are understood before decisions are made. A College President must represent a diverse student body, and I have the ability to connect with students from different backgrounds and ensure their voices are accurately reflected in Union and college discussions.

Second, I am proactive and solutions-focused. I do not wait for problems to escalate, I address them early, gather feedback, and work collaboratively with the relevant staff to find practical outcomes. This approach ensures that student concerns move from conversation to action.

Finally, I am accountable and approachable. Students deserve a representative who is visible, accessible, and transparent about progress.
Firstly, I have extensive experience working in structured and disciplined environments. Serving in roles that demanded responsibility under pressure has strengthened my ability to remain composed, communicate clearly, and make informed decisions. These skills are directly relevant to representing students in formal meetings, engaging with senior college staff, and contributing constructively at Presidents’ Committee discussions. I understand the importance of approaching issues with both professionalism and strategic insight.

My teaching experience further strengthens my suitability for this role. Working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds has taught me how to listen actively, engage inclusively, and communicate in ways that reach everyone. I have learned how to understand diverse perspectives, address concerns thoughtfully, and create environments where people feel valued. As College President, these skills will help me gather student feedback effectively.
One thing people should know about me is that I am deeply committed to serving others. I listen actively, act with integrity, and turn ideas into results. Whether representing students, supporting a team, I prioritize accountability
