Candidate Statement
I believe I am the strongest candidate for Deputy President because I bring an empathetic, genuine understanding of the student experience. I’m an organised person who is extremely dependable as I take serious responsibility in everything I do.

Growing up in Cyprus then leaving to study at a university in London has shaped how I approach challenges, I understand what it’s like to feel slightly disconnected from campus life at times. It’s made me more aware of the importance of communication, accessibility, and inclusivity. It’s made me a very resilient person who’s confident in managing responsibilities across many different environments.

I’m an approachable person, a good listener, and someone students should feel comfortable coming to with anything they need. Additionally I excel when working with a team which fits perfectly with the Deputy President role as I’d be closely working with a group of likeminded people to ensure that student voices are genuinely heard.
I was born in Hong Kong, lived there for 12 years, later moved to Cyprus, and now study in London. Growing up across different countries has made me adaptable, culturally educated, and confident communicating with people from different backgrounds.

As a flat leader, I’m confident in supporting and guiding new students as they transition into university life. This role has given me first hand experience in leadership, peer support and conflict management, as well as the responsibility of being an approachable point of contact for students.

Alongside my studies, I work as a nanny to two children, which has further strengthened my time management, patience, and sense of responsibility. Roehampton also holds personal significance for me, as my mother studied here. All of her stories of her time at uni made Roehampton an easy choice for me.
I can’t ride a bike (yet) but watch this space.
