As a second year international nursing student with a background in emergency and trauma care, I bring resilience, leadership, and strong advocacy skills to the role of Digby Stuart College President. Working in high pressure clinical environments has developed my ability to communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and represent others effectively.
Coming from New Jersey to study in the UK has given me valuable insight into the challenges faced by international and diverse student communities. I am approachable, organised, and genuinely committed to inclusivity, student wellbeing, and turning student voices into meaningful action making me a strong and reliable representative for Digby Stuart College.
I bring experience from working as a nursing assistant in emergency and trauma settings, where I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, advocated for patients, and managed high pressure situations. This role required clear communication, accountability, and leadership skills directly transferable to representing and supporting students.
As an international student, I also have lived experience navigating academic systems, wellbeing services, and student life in the UK, giving me a strong understanding of the issues students face. Combined with my clinical training as a second year nursing student, this experience equips me to listen effectively, problem solve, and act as a confident, reliable voice for my community.
I’m genuinely friendly and love connecting with people from different backgrounds, which is why I moved to London. I value open conversation, learning from others, and helping create a welcoming, inclusive community where everyone feels they belong.
