Vote Ese for RSU President. E for Energy. Giving more energy to your voice and bringing the positive Energy to the RSU.

My Manifesto. RSU President.

Hi, I’m Ese. A second-year Business Student. You might know me as one of the organizers of the university’s table tennis club called RoeTable. This year I’m running for the position of Student Union President with the aim of giving more energy to your voice as a student. In the last couple of months, the world has had to adapt to a new way of life and this change has affected everything including our studies. The best way for the university to identify and understand how these changes have affected us as students is by listening to us. If I am elected as RSU President, I will use all the available means to give more energy to your voices. Together, we will make the change that is needed to help us get through this phase in the best possible way.

If you elect me as your Student Union President:

I will work with all the essential bodies to ensure that the progress made by the previous officers is not undone by the pandemic. Countless projects and activities that have been put up by the university and the past RSU officers to engage and support students have already been affected. For example, the Universal Black Mind Society (UBM) has been dissolved due to the lack of activities that were important to keep it going and this was caused by the pandemic. The UBM was a safe place for BAME students especially in times like this.

I will partner with officers, students and societies to ensure that your voices are heard, and your concerns addressed appropriately. I will introduce the Hall of Voices that will not only acknowledge and appreciate all the students that have raised their voices to inspire the change we enjoy in the university today but also to encourage others to do the same.

I will work with all the required bodies to increase the safety and security of students on campus. I understand how important it is to feel safe in the place you live and study.

I will continue the work of supporting and developing the BAME community that is already going on in the university.

I will introduce the “Make the Most” page on the RSU website. This will help students suggest and vote on ways to make the most of their university time. Especially after this pandemic.

By voting for me, you will allow me to contribute to the betterment of your student experience and the opportunity to help reverse most of the setbacks we have faced due to the pandemic. You will also be voting for the support you will need in a time like this. Thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email at Kpejie@roehampton.ac.uk.
