I am a second year Classical Civilisation student who has been a proud member of the society since I joined Roehampton. I have seen all of the amazing work the past aociety boards have done, but I have also seen how they have suffered under COVID, as has everyone else. In the past year there have been great attempts as making the best out of this terrible situation, but I think I can help us do better. I have connections with other Classics students and societies globally and am willing to put those ties to good use to improve our offerings as a society. I think that we have a lot of potential as a society what with being based in London and being part of such a great university community already and I would like to put that potential to good use and I believe I have the skills to do so. 

We need to run more events such as talks, pub quizzes and film nights where we can get to know each other and our discipline better. Classics is a dying subject, but it doesn't need to be and I believe that we at Roehampton University can be at the forefront of protecting and growing the subject for many more generations to come.
