► Ski Trip 2012

Welcome to the RSU Ski Trip 2012!

This trip is being headed up by Roehampton Students’ Union in association with Ski Alpine, and welcomes everyone and anyone connected to the University to take part. If you have had the delight of experiencing such a trip before, then you will know that snow sports trips are unbelievable fun, and with the more of us in attendance the merrier. If, on the other hand you haven’t been before, it really is something you should try and we can pretty much guarantee you’ll be hooked!

Alongside the skiing/snowboarding there will be a variety of social activities arranged for each night, though these are by no means compulsory to take part in.

This year the RSU Ski Trip will descend upon Tignes, which is an awesome resort, slap bang in the middle of the French Alps. Tignes is served by the large well linked ski area called L'Espace Killy. Tignes shares the L'Espace Killy with Val d'Isere and with over 300km (190 miles) of pistes 150 shops, 115 bars, numerous ski schools, 1500+ staff & extensive off-piste it has become one of Europe's premier resorts. Due to its altitude Tignes has a very reliable snow record which, after recent seasons of reduced snowfall, has encouraged people to choose higher mountain resorts. According to 'The good Ski & Snowboarding Guide' Tignes/Val d'Isere is one of only two ski areas in France listed as 'Snow-sure resorts'.

Once you reach the Ski Alpine website you must enter our unique online reference code which is:

Once you are logged into the system you will be asked to create an account, which once activated will be your central hub to look after your booking. You have the option of paying for the trip in upto 4 stages, the first of which will be the minimum deposit to guarantee your place on the trip. In this hub you will also be able to select lessons, ski equipment hire, upgrade ski passes and extra evening activities. Please note, all of these extras can be added at any point before you pay the final outstanding balance on the trip.

Every RSU Ski Trip is one that will stick in your memory and is always amazing, however we hope to make this trip the best Roehampton has ever had, so please get involved and lets rule the resort!!

PRICING FOR 2012

The standard cost of the trip is £389 which includes the following:

 - Executive return coach travel from Roehampton University to resort accomodation
 - 6 day local ski pass
 - Self catered accommodation
 - Trip lanyard with info sheets
 - Discount trip wristband
 - Trip booklet
 - Fully trained Ski-Alpine Reps, plus RSU Reps

A minimum deposit of £90 must be paid to secure your place on the trip, which is all done online at the Ski-Alipne website - www.ski-alpine.co.uk.

In addition to the standard package there are other costs for extras you may or may not need:

 - Ski / Snowboard Hire - £69 for the duration of the trip
 - Ski / Snowboard Lessons - From £65 for 2 days of lessons. All packages available online
 - Ski Pass Extension - £39 / £49

As stated, all these options can be viewed on the website and can be added at any point in the booking process, so long as it is paid the booking/payment deadline. This deadline will be Friday 24th February 2012.
