REWARD & RECOGNITION SCHEME

The ‘Reward and Recognition Scheme’ (RRS) recognises the hard work and commitment students give to volunteering by offering various ‘thank you rewards.’ We ask volunteers to log the hours they give, whether this is volunteering internally on M.A.D. Projects organised by the university or volunteering externally for charities that are either linked to the university or charities students are already linked with. Flat & Program Reps, Officers and Sports Captains are also eligible to register in the RRS.

The rewards available are:

Excellence in Volunteering Awards (EVA):
The EVA will be awarded to 2 students who have shown an outstanding contribution towards volunteering throughout the academic year. This prestigious award recognises students who have been involved in many of the volunteering activities across the RSU. These activities could be; volunteering and promoting the various M.A.D. Projects, taking an active role in R.A.G. (Raise and Give) fundraising week, being an active member of your Society or Sports Club, volunteering externally or even setting up your own Project!

Students can either nominate themselves for this award or they may be nominated by others. All nominations must be submitted to Donna Jarvis and must include all the appropriate evidence. Nominations can be submitted at the end of the academic year and names will be announced at the RSU Awards Ceremony.

(In addition, the chosen candidates will also receive an exciting ‘thank you reward’ to be announced soon!)
