Welcome to the Governance section of our website, which shows you how we effectively manage ourselves and how we process all the feedback we get from our students on a regular basis.
RSU is a company limited by guarantee and affiliated to the Charities Commission, who we report to on a regular basis with our accounts and decision making structures.
You will see our Representation Chart, which shows 5 different zones of work. These are designed to delegate a lot of important Union activity to smaller groups, where discussions can be more in depth and more student issues can get discussed and resolved. They are then passed through to Students’ Union Council, which meets about 6 times per year (more information can be found by clicking here. All of our processes are overseen by a Trustee Board, who are drawn together from their expertise in different areas of Union activity.
Our Decision Making Chart outlines the way decisions are processed and directly links in with the way our representation structure works.
