CAMPAIGNS FOR 2009/10
Throughout your time at Roehampton you will notice that a big part of the academic calendar is devoted to campaigning for various different causes, which all look to inspire, empower and engage students into being both active and involved on a number of levels.
Myself and the part time officers within the Department work closely with NUS and support them and other national campaigns which we feel students will respond to and benefit from the most. The campaigns we take part in are not only based around politics, culture and awareness, but also look at raising money for local, national and international charities, chosen by you the students.
Some of the campaigns that we already have planned for 2009/2010 are:
|
Campaigns Crawl |
12th-16th OCTOBER 2009 |
|
Black History Week |
26th-30th OCTOBER 2009 |
|
Well-being Week |
16th-20th NOVEMBER 2009 |
|
S.H.A.G. Week |
30th NOVEMBER-4th DECEMBER 2009 |
|
Hollocaust Memorial Day |
27th JANUARY 2010 |
|
R.A.G. Week |
1st-5th FEBRUARY 2010 |
|
L.G.B.T History Week |
22nd-26th FEBRUARY 2010 |
|
Stop Smoking Day |
10th MARCH 2010 |
|
Go Green Week |

As well at looking at these we are continuously looking to get the students involved and see what else you want us to campaign for. Is there something that you feel we should consider campaigning for or against? If so then come up the Welfare Department and we can see what we can do.
